First Time User Instructions
When you use ACCESSTELLER® for the first time you will need to set your access code.
To use the system simply telephone (07) 323 7049, Murupara, Galatea and Rotorua should telephone (07) 366 5528 (toll free).
- The telephone will be answered, to use the ACCESSTELLER® Press " 1 "
- When asked, enter your membership number, followed by the star # button located at the bottom right hand corner of your telephone keypad.
- When you use the ACCESSTELER® for the first time, you will have to set your ACCESSCODE. This has been preset in the system as your birthdate, (eg if your birthday is 1 February 1950 then you would enter 010250) followed by the hash key. You will then be asked to type in four to six numbers of your choice. This will then become your new access code for all future use and ensures that only you can operate your account. Please keep your access code confidential.
Once in the system the following options are available:
1. Account balances on your Savings, Loan and Investments.
2. For details of recent transactions, to have a statement posted to you, to check if a personal cheque has been presented and for interest earned in the last financial year.
3. To transfer funds between accounts, for bill payments to your own personal payees and for bill payments to a choice of standard payees.
4. To request a Loan Application and have our lending staff contact you or to use our loan calculator to find out how long it will take to repay a loan.
5. To check our term deposit and saving interest rates.
6. To change your Access Code.
How To Pay Your Bills
There are two options available for this service.
In order to use this option, you need to go to your nearest local branch with the bank account number and reference details to whom the payments are to be made to.
There are a number of companies that have already been set up within the system.
- You will be asked to select from a list, the type of payment you want to make, ie "Telephone Companies", " Finance Companies", "Insurances" etc, simply select the payment type you wish to make by pressing the corresponding number on your telephone.
- Under each list, ie "Telephone Companies" there are Telecom and Telstra Clear. Select the company you wish to pay by pressing the corresponding number on your telephone.
Our Internet banking service allows you to do your banking at a time and place that suits you, from the privacy of any personal computer. With Internet banking you can:
- View account balances
- Display full history of transactions
- Transfer money between Credit Union accounts
- Transfer money electronically to other any other bank accounts.
- Pay bills
Internet banking is a FREE service to members. Normal transaction fees apply. To register for Internet banking just visit your local branch and complete an application form.
ACCESSTXT®
ACCESSTXT® is a convenient way to check your account balances and transfer funds between accounts with your 027, 025, 021 or 029 mobile phone. All charges for texting are debited from your account at a cost of 60 cents, there will be no charge to your moblie phone.
Visit your Credit Union Central branch to activate ACCESSTXT®. Once you have activated ACCESSTXT® just send these messages to 8880 for the account balances you need:

To transfer funds from accounts send the following message to 8880 TX 00, TX = fund transfer selection, i.e. T1, T3 T5. 00 = the amount you want to transfer, i.e. 10 for ten dollars (do not use the $ sign, "." decimal point or any other symbols). You must leave a space between TX and the amount, i.e. T3 55 (press 0 for space).
